Spring is the perfect time to prepare your lawn for the year ahead by solid tine aeration and this can be done simply with a fork. It increases compaction and helps the lawn retain water for the summer ahead. However, if your lawn has come through this wet winter with a lot more moss than is usual, Lakeside has different options to treat your lawn. There are 'all round' products that not only feed the lawn but also weed and kill the moss. The moss is generally treated with Iron Sulphate which turns the moss black highlighting when it needs to be raked out. Alternatively there are more specific lawn treatments that will feed and weed only. There are also moss control products with a natural digestive base which kills the moss without the need for raking out.
